Planning to take up the wedding photography profession soon? Congrats! Now it’s time to invest in a good and sturdy camera for your work. But which model should you pick? Wedding photography is a completely different world than the rest of the photography styles. Figuring out the best cameras for wedding photography can be quite daunting as we have worked with a variety of lovely cameras and lenses. But for you, this will be easy. Because we have rounded up our favourite cameras for candid wedding photography so you can determine which rig will work best for you and your style.
There are a few things that you need to keep in mind before you pick any camera in the wedding photography business.
- Most Indian weddings are no less than 5-8 hours per event, so you need a wedding camera with the durability, power, and versatility to match that requirement.
- Understand the difference between mirrorless and DSLRs and pick what you believe suits your needs the best.
- If you have just taken up candid wedding photography and are wary to invest large amounts, we would recommend you rent some of these below-listed cameras first, get a feel of them and then pick. You don’t want to invest and then regret!
- Along with cameras, spare memory cards and batteries are two areas you don’t want to cut corners on.
- Invest in a fast memory card reader. It’ll help you save time during multiple events, which is usually the case when you are shooting Indian weddings.
